Community Partnership and Network Building
GNB encourage local communities and groups such as Community Development Committee, to engage in decision making process. Moreover we work together with local government and related agencies to maximize influence on the society. We also organize Local youth to participate voluntarily in the development work for their own society.

Pre-volunteer: This is the first stage (year 1) of youth development. In 2016, we had 805 pre-volunteers who have worked in their respective villages as protectors of their juniors, ie, our target children who attend our after-school centers in the 14 CDP locations.
Volunteer: This is the second stage(year 2) of youth development. GNB had 350 volunteers who organized themselves into Youth Councils. The youth councils are their platform for nurturing organizing and leadership skills. In the pre-volunteer and volunteer stages, the local youths take part in GNB’s child right protection activities (prevention of child marriage, child labor and child abuse).
Office Assignment: This is the graduation stage(year 2) that provides practical job experience. The volunteers who worked for more than one year can work on specific office assignments (after-school teachers, adult literacy facilitators and supporter for Sponsorship Service) after certain training. In 2016, we had 403 after-school teachers, 74 adult literacy facilitators and 81 SS (sponsorship service) supporters. GNB provides certain amounts of allowances to the those youths can support their university education.
Usually we do not allow the local youths to stay more than two years on office assignment, because this is not a job. Rather, this is a preparation of their future employment. Many youths who were our volunteers or after-school teachers are on full time employment. Many of them even are working in GNB as regular staff.
