Medical Officer

Good Neighbors is an international humanitarian and development non-governmental organization in General Consultative Status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council (UN ECOSOC). Good Neighbors Bangladesh, established in 1996, is operating 16 Community Development Projects (CDP) and 3 Projects with Specific Program (PSP) in 12 districts for child protection, education, health, women empowerment, income-generating activities, DRR & Rohingya Emergency Response Project. Winner of MDG 2 award in 2007. Good Neighbors Bangladesh (GNB) intends to recruit suitable personnel for the following position.
Position: Medical Officer

Job Location: GNB-Nalka CDP, KC Faridpur, Raiganj, Sirajganj

Basic Requirement:

Education: MBBS from any recognized University with BMDC registration (MBBS with MPH will add extra advantage)
Age: Maximum 35 years (as of 17 January 2021)
Experience: Minimum 1 year (experience with only evidence and relevance will count)

 Contract Information:Consolidated Remuneration: Tk. 35,000 (per month)
Contract Period:  1 year (including minimum 3 months in probation period)
 Job Assignment in Brief:

  • Engagement ineffective, qualitative and supportive treatment service in the community
  • Communication with partners and result in the tracking of health activities in the target area.
  • Active engagement in public health-focused activities and community empowerment.
  • Supervising and leading the existing healthcare units for greater sustainability
  • Effective team management to keep members sufficiently involved and motivated
  • Ensure standard Health check-up as per GNB standard
  • Provide quality medical service for children and mothers through OPD service, mobile clinic, Health Check-up, Vulnerable disease identification, treatment, and follow-up.
 Capacity Requirement:

  • Proven capacity and experience in public health activities
  • Ability to understand the human rights aspects of the health of children and women
  • Ability to work in a multi-national and multi-cultural office environment
  • Basic managerial capacity to build and manage a team and to work with and without top-down supervision
  • Have the mentality to work with disadvantaged people.
