Good Neighbors (1991) is an international humanitarian, development and non-governmental organization with membership in General Consultative Status in the United Nations Economic and Social Council (UN ECOSOC). Winner of MDG 2 award in 2007, Good Neighbors Bangladesh (GNB) is operating 17 Community Development Projects (CDP) and 4 Projects with Specific Program (PSP) in 13 districts for child protection, education, health, women empowerment, income generating activities, DRR and Rohingya emergency response activities. Good Neighbors Bangladesh (GNB) intends to recruit suitable personnel for the following positions:

2. Basic Requirement:

Education: Post-graduate degree on relevant fields (Social Science, Development Studies, Development Economics, Environmental Science & Disaster Management)

 

Age: Maximum age 40 years (no need to apply if you are over aged)


Experience:
Minimum 5 years Managerial experience (experience with only evidence and relevance will count).

Preference: GN Bangladesh strongly encourages qualified female candidates to apply.

 

3. Contract Information:

Salary and Others: Consolidated Remuneration Tk 55,000 – 65,000 (per month). Plus 100% festival bonus, 15 days paid leave excluding public holidays and training opportunities for career development.

 

Contract Period: 2 years (including minimum 6 months’ probation period)

Details about Job Responsibilities

1.

Primary Responsibilities

Job 1: Quality of Financial Execution Supervision (planning, budgeting & implementation of project, financial analysis and follow-up through regular monitoring & supervision to execute in due time).

Job 2: Purchase, Distribution and Inventory Management Supervision (Ensuring the transparency on procurement management, risk management and program operation)

Job 3: Supervision of Non-sponsorship Fund (NSF). (Identifying the focal problem of working area, developing the project proposal/concept note and taking different initiatives for community patrons).

Job 4: Quality of Child Case Management: Focus Zone and Home Visit. (Supervision of child sponsorship program such as Home visit, APR, ACL & GML completion in due time and sponsored children drop-out control).

 

2.

Secondary Responsibilities

 

 

·        Maintaining the efficient networking and partnership with community resource, community patrons, local government and non-governmental organizations.

·        Playing coaching and mentoring role to improve the capacity of respective area’s staffs.

·        Reporting to respective supervisors according to assignment.

3.

Other Responsibilities

·        Preparing and presenting status reports upon monthly, quarterly, half-yearly and annual implementation.

·        Effective staff management and team work to achieve the goal.

 

5. Knowledge and Skill Requirement:

·        Community development project: Knowledge on the community development project & participatory approaches, sustainable development practices and community empowerment strategies.

·        Stakeholder Engagement: Capacity to analyze stakeholder, their engagement and collaboration such as community members, local leaders, government agencies, NGOs, and other relevant organizations in the development process.

·        Needs Assessment and Analysis: Skills in conducting needs assessments and community surveys to identify priority areas for intervention, understand the root causes of issues, and gather data for evidence-based decision-making.

·        Resource Mobilization: Understanding of partnership building strategies, grant proposal writing, donor trends, and other resource mobilization techniques to secure fund for implementing community development projects.

·        Communication, supervision and monitoring: Effective communication knowledge, monitoring and supervision technics to track the progress of community development projects, assess their impact, and make informed adjustments as needed.

·        Conflict Management: Skills in conflict resolution and negotiation to address conflicts and disagreements among stakeholders during the project implementation.
