Good Neighbors (1991) is an international humanitarian, development and non-governmental organization with membership in General Consultative Status in the United Nations Economic and Social Council (UN ECOSOC). Winner of MDG 2 award 2007 and UNESCO-Hamdan Prize for Teacher Development 2024, Good Neighbors Bangladesh (GNB) is operating 17 Community Development Projects (CDP) and 2 Projects with Specific Program (PSP) in 13 districts for child protection, education, health, women empowerment, income generating activities, DRR and Rohingya emergency response activities. Good Neighbors Bangladesh (GNB) intends to recruit suitable personnel for the following positions:

 2. Basic Requirement:

  • Education: Master’s degree (preferred) in Development Studies, International Relations, Business, or a related field  

Age: No age limitation (Flexible)

Experience: Minimum 07 years’ work experience in similar sector (experience with only evidence and relevance will count).

3. Contract Information:

Salary and Others Benefits: Negotiable.

Contract Period: 1 years (including minimum 3 months’ probation period), Renewable consideration on performance

4. Job Assignment in Brief:

  • Identify Funding Opportunities: Identify potential donors, grants, and funding opportunities aligned with GNB’s strategic priorities.
  • Conduct Funding Research: Research and analyze funding calls, eligibility criteria, and donor guidelines to ensure alignment and compliance.
  • Develop High-Quality Proposals: Write, edit, and submit compelling concept notes, proposals, and grant applications that meet donor standards.
  • Coordinate With Internal Teams: Collaborate with program, finance, and monitoring teams to ensure proposals are accurate, complete, and technically sound.
  • Manage Funding Database: Maintain a systematic database of funding opportunities and track the progress of applications and submissions.
  • Prepare Donor Communication Materials: Prepare reports, summaries, success stories, and other communication materials required by donors.
  • Ensure Compliance and Quality: Ensure that all proposals include required components such as logical frameworks, detailed budgets, and compliance documentation in accordance with donor requirements.

5. Capacity Requirement:

  • Has strong skills in grant writing, concept note and project proposal development, as well as in negotiating with donors.
  • Proven experience in proposal writing, especially for CSR and ODA or international donors.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, especially cross-cultural communication.
  • Previous experience in Grant writing with NGOs or donor-funded projects is a strong advantage.
  • Master’s degree (preferred) in Development Studies, International Relations, Business, or related field.
