Good Neighbors (1991) is an international humanitarian, development and non-governmental organization with membership in General Consultative Status in the United Nations Economic and Social Council (UN ECOSOC). Winner of MDG 2 award 2007 and UNESCO-Hamdan Prize for Teacher Development 2024, Good Neighbors Bangladesh (GNB) is operating 17 Community Development Projects (CDP) and 2 Projects with Specific Program (PSP) in 13 districts for child protection, education, health, women empowerment, income generating activities, DRR and Rohingya emergency response activities. 2. Basic Requirement:
Education: Graduate/Post Graduate in Finance/ Business/Accounting (with honors) from any recognized University
Age: Minimum age 25 years and maximum age 30 years (as on 31st December 2025)
Experience: Minimum 2-years’ experience in relevant field (experience with only evidence and relevance will count).
Skill: Computer knowledge (MS office), Valid driving license (Motorcycle)
3. Contract Information:
Salary and Others: Consolidated Remuneration Tk.22,000 (per month). Plus 100% yearly bonus (after probation period), 15 days paid leave (after probation period) excluding public holidays and training opportunities for career development.
Probation Period: 6 months (Job confirmation/ extension of probation period /Job discontinuation based on performance evaluation of the probation period.)
4. Job Assignment in Brief:
I. Cooperative & IGA Development
- Support formation, registration, and strengthening of community cooperatives and producer groups.
- Facilitate planning and implementation of income-generating activities (IGA) aligned with local market demand.
- Provide technical support to cooperative members on business planning, costing, pricing, and profit analysis.
- Promote inclusive participation, with special focus on women’s economic empowerment and vulnerable households.
II. Social Enterprise Support
- Assist in developing and managing community-based social enterprises under cooperative structures.
- Support feasibility studies, business models, and sustainability plans for social enterprises.
- Monitor production, sales, cash flow, and reinvestment strategies to ensure long-term viability.
- Strengthen value chain linkages with buyers, suppliers, and local markets.
III. Financial Management & Record Keeping
- Maintain accurate financial records of cooperatives, IGAs, and social enterprises, including: Cash books, Ledgers, Savings and loan registers & Profit & loss statements
- Ensure proper documentation of transactions, vouchers, and receipts.
- Support cooperative treasurers in applying basic accounting principles and internal controls.
- Monitor fund utilization, revolving funds, and cooperative capital growth.
IV. Monitoring, Reporting & Compliance
- Conduct regular field monitoring to assess financial performance and business progress.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial and narrative reports for management and donors.
- Identify financial risks, operational challenges, and propose corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with Good Neighbors Bangladesh financial policies and donor requirements.
- Regular reporting to supervisor/manager and Head Office.
5. Requirement:
- Strong knowledge of financial management and basic accounting
- Understanding of IGA, cooperative principles, and social enterprise models
- Proven capacity and experience of cooperative activities.
- Commitment to cooperative principles and values
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic managerial capacity to build and manage a team and to work with and without top-down supervision
- Ability to understand the human rights aspects of the women.
- Having knowledge of the local culture and language.
- Must possess a mentality to work in any location within Good Neighbors Bangladesh working area.
- Experience at NGO/INGO on income generating activities will be given preference.
