Good Neighbors (1991) is an international humanitarian, development and non-governmental organization with membership in General Consultative Status in the United Nations Economic and Social Council (UN ECOSOC). Winner of MDG 2 award 2007 and UNESCO-Hamdan Prize for Teacher Development 2024, Good Neighbors Bangladesh (GNB) is operating 17 Community Development Projects (CDP) and 1 Project with Specific Program (PSP) in 13 districts for child protection, education, health, women empowerment, income generating activities, DRR and Rohingya emergency response activities. 2. Basic Requirement:
Education:
Required: Master’s degree in social sciences, Gender studies, Public health, Social work, Humanities, Law or other related discipline.
Desired: Master’s in related field

Age: Maximum age 40 years (as on 27 December 2025)

Experience:

  • 2 years’ experience in NGO/INGO setting
  • Experience on implementing Sexual and reproductive health and/or Gender focused projects in emergency
  • Experience on working with internally displaced people

3. Contract Information:
Salary and Others: Consolidated Salary BDT 47,125 (per month). Yearly 15 days paid leave excluding public holidays and training opportunities for career development.

1.

Primary Responsibilities

  • As GBV Case Worker, she will be responsible for overseeing of all gender-based violence (GBV) case management and ensure maintain of confidentiality as per standard.
  • Maintain confidentiality in case management and data protection policy
  • GBV Case Worker will liaise directly with other service providers working and communities where the project is implementing and facilitate referrals to other service providers (health including Mental health, Shelter, NFIs and /or legal providers, etc.)
  • Responsible for the overall management of the safe spaces for women and girls
  • Facilitate the setting up of information desk at the women and girls center where adolescent and women of reproductive age can access Sexual Reproductive Health information.
  • Contribute within the women and girls center to the identification of at-risk girls, boys and women and ensure proper
  • documentation
  • Provide direct support and care for vulnerable women and girls (including survivors of gender-based violence) including basic information counselling and case management: Assessment of survivor needs, developing an action plan, implementing the plan, follow up and case closure processes in line with the GBV case management standard operating procedure.
  • Ensure Do No Harm analysis and ensure the principle is upheld in all Case Worker engagements.

Secondary Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the selection and supervise all case volunteers working in the SSWG.
  •  Produce monthly data and regular narrative reports for different stakeholders as well as office.
  •  Maintain positive coordination and relationship with other partners in the field to promote holistic approach to case management

Other Responsibilities

  • Any other duties required by project authorities.

5. Capacity Requirement:

  • Sound knowledge and understanding of GBV and humanitarian principles
  • Sound knowledge in Micro-soft office and English language (Speaking & writing).
  • Have practical experience in humanitarian related work.
  • Must know Chattogram/Rohingya language.
    • Positive attitude towards social service and adaptability to organizational vision and values
    • Ability to deal with community people with a positive manner and mentality to work for the marginal people
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills with external partners and capacity to interact in a multicultural environment.
  • Agile working mindset and adaptable to fast changes
