GNB Engages in Strategic Discussions for Bangladesh Economy White Paper

The Interim Government of Bangladesh has established a 12-member committee led by Dr Debapriya Bhattacharya, convenor of the Citizen’s Platform, to prepare a White Paper on the current state of the economy. This document is being developed based on a comprehensive review of available empirical evidence and a participatory consultative process.

In this regard, they arranged three subnational consultations in·         

• Sylhet Townhall Meeting: 2 October 2024 at 4.00 pm in Sylhet City

• Chattogram Townhall Meeting: 5 October 2024 at 4.00 pm in Chattogram City

• Rajshahi Townhall Meeting: 9 October 2024 at 11.00 am in Rajshahi City

They also called a consultation meeting with the representatives of the Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) and Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs) on Monday, 07 October 2024, from 10.30 am to 1.00 pm at the Executive Committee of the National Economic
Council (ECNEC) Room, Bangladesh Planning Commission.
