GNB and RCASBC Sign MoU at the University of Chittagong

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the Hong Kong Research Centre for Asian Studies – Bangladesh Centre (RCASBC) and Good Neighbors Bangladesh (GNB) at the University of Chittagong on 24 June 2026.
The MoU was signed on behalf of RCASBC by Professor Dr. Sujit Kumar Dutta, Director of the Centre, and on behalf of Good Neighbors Bangladesh by Md. Al-Imran Monju, Communications and Partnership Team Manager.
RCASBC is a research institution operating under the Department of International Relations, University of Chittagong, with approval from the University’s Syndicate. The Centre is dedicated to advancing research, knowledge generation, and international academic collaboration.
The signing ceremony was attended by Md. Niaz Morshed, Chairman of the Department of International Relations, University of Chittagong; Md. Mohiuddin, Associate Professor; and Aditi Chakraborty, Assistant Professor. The event was moderated by Fariha Jesmin, Associate Professor of the Department.
Under the MoU, the two organizations will collaborate in areas including internships, volunteer engagement, joint research initiatives, data and information sharing for research purposes, and the implementation of awareness-building programs. The partnership will also facilitate workshops, seminars, training programs, and public outreach activities involving students and faculty members. In addition, both institutions will cooperate in development and social-sector research through the exchange of relevant knowledge and research resources.
Representatives from both organizations expressed optimism that the partnership will strengthen the link between academia and the development sector, creating new opportunities for students, researchers, and faculty members.
The Memorandum of Understanding will remain effective for a period of three years from the date of signing.
