National Youth Camp 2025: Empowering Youth, Sustaining Nature & Peace

From May 13–15, 2025, vibrant energy and purpose echoed through the tranquil surroundings of the BBCF Prayer Garden as over a hundred youth leaders, club members, and facilitators gathered for the National Youth Camp 2025, organized by the Program Implementation Department, Good Neighbors Bangladesh (GNB).

With the compelling theme, “Empowering Youth, Sustaining Nature & Peace,” the three-day camp was more than just a gathering—it was a movement. A movement driven by the voices, ideas, and actions of young changemakers determined to create a better world.

The camp kicked off with Welcoming remarks by Mr. Bartin Gomes, Managing Director of the organizing body. Powerful keynote speech by Md. Shahinur Islam, Assistant Director, Humanitarian Response, COAST Foundation on the camp’s theme reminded everyone that sustainable change starts with empowered youth and collaborative efforts.

Stories Through the Lens: Creative Media Showcase

Young voices echoed not just through speeches, but through visuals as well. The Creative Media Showcase brought forward short films made by youth from different CDPs, highlighting real-life stories of conservation and peacebuilding. The best three films were screened, celebrating creativity and youth-led impact.

A Festival of Democracy: NNPC Election 2025

The National Nature and Peace Club Election 2025, overseen by the Election Commission, led by Karnel Costa. With heartfelt speeches, shared visions, and inspiring pledges, youth candidates presented their candidacy in a truly democratic spirit.

Following the vote, the results were announced, and the President, Vice-President, and Secretary were elected.

The oath-taking ceremony, held in the presence of the outgoing President, marked a smooth and symbolic transition of leadership, capturing the essence of responsibility and hope.

The National Youth Camp 2025 was more than an event—it was a launching pad for a new generation of leaders committed to safeguarding nature, nurturing peace, and building resilient communities.

With the baton now passed to a new leadership team, and the spirit of the camp alive in each participant, Good Neighbors Bangladesh looks forward to a year of impactful youth engagement across the country.
